Policies and Terms of Service
1. TERMS OF SERVICE

Welcome to Keola Sociology ("we," "us"), operated by Keola Pvt Limited. By accessing https://www.upscsocio.com/ or purchasing our products, you agree to these Terms.
1. What we offer. Digital study material for the UPSC Civil Services Examination (Sociology Optional), including a digital textbook delivered via a cloud folder ("Bookshelf"), free resources, and a paid answer-evaluation service with performance feedback.
2. Eligibility. You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering a binding contract.
3. Accounts and accuracy. You agree to provide accurate contact details. Delivery of digital products depends on the email address you provide; we are not responsible for non-delivery caused by incorrect details.
4. Licence, not sale. Purchase of the textbook grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the material for your own exam preparation. You may not share, resell, redistribute, upload, or publish the material in any form. See the Copyright Notice.
5. Evaluation service. Evaluations are performed personally and manually. Turnaround target is 3-5 business days from payment confirmation, with an outer limit of 7 days. Feedback represents professional academic judgment and is provided as guidance; marks awarded in our evaluations are indicative and carry no bearing on actual UPSC results.
6. Pricing and payment. All prices are in INR and displayed at purchase. Payments are processed by Razorpay; we do not store your payment instrument details.
7. Fair use of free material. Free resources are for personal use and may not be scraped, republished, or used to build competing products.
8. Termination. We may suspend access (including Bookshelf access) for breach of these Terms, particularly redistribution of paid material, without refund.
9. Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the product or service giving rise to the claim.
10. Changes. We may update these Terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction. These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at New Delhi shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

2.PRIVACY POLICY

Keola Sociology, operated by Keola Pvt Limited, respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect and why.
What we collect.
- Name and email address (purchases, waitlist, and free-resource signups)
- Uploaded answer copies (for the evaluation service)
- Payment confirmation details from our payment processor (we never see or store your card/UPI credentials; those are handled by Razorpay under their privacy policy)
- Standard website analytics (pages visited, approximate location, device type) via Squarespace, and advertising analytics via Google if you arrive through our ads
How we use it.
- To deliver purchased products and evaluation feedback
- To maintain your access to the living-edition Bookshelf
- To send you the resources you signed up for, service updates, and (only if you joined a list) our newsletter/digest — every email includes an unsubscribe link
- To improve the website and our material
What we never do. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Your answer copies are used only for evaluation and, only with anonymization, may be used as teaching samples — and only if you give explicit consent when asked.
Storage and security. Data is stored on reputable cloud services (Squarespace, Google Workspace, Razorpay) with access limited to those operating the service.
Your rights. Email upscsociology@keolasociology.com to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to withdraw consent. We will act within 30 days.
Cookies. The site uses cookies necessary for functioning and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser.
3. REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY
Effective date: 4 August 2026
Digital textbook. All sales are final. Because the textbook is a digital product delivered instantly with full access, no refunds or cancellations are offered once payment is complete. Please review the free sample chapter before purchasing — it is provided precisely so you can judge the quality first.
Evaluation service. Once payment is made for the evaluation of a submitted answer copy, the order cannot be cancelled or refunded, as evaluation work is scheduled personally on receipt.
Our failure, your refund. The exceptions: if we fail to deliver your purchased product, or fail to deliver a paid evaluation within 7 days of payment, you are entitled to a full refund of that payment on request. Refunds under this clause are processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days.
Access issues. If you cannot access purchased material, contact upscsociology@keolasociology.com — restoring your access is our obligation and priority.
4. DELIVERY POLICY (DIGITAL PRODUCTS)
Effective date: 4 August 2026
- All products are digital. Nothing is physically shipped.
- Textbook: delivered automatically by email to the address used at payment, normally within minutes and no later than 24 hours. The email contains your Bookshelf access link. The Bookshelf is a living edition — updates appear in the same folder at no extra cost.
- Evaluation: your evaluated copy and performance report are delivered by email within 3-5 days of payment confirmation (target), and in any case within 7 days.
- Didn't receive it? Check spam, then write to upscsociology@keolasociology.com with your payment reference; we will resolve within 24 hours.

Keola Sociology is an independent educational resource. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) or any government body.
Our material and evaluations are aids to preparation. We make no promise, guarantee, or representation of selection, rank, score, or success in any examination. Success in UPSC depends on many factors entirely outside any study material. Any scores or feedback we provide are indicative academic assessments only.
Syllabus interpretations, model answers, and current-affairs linkages reflect our best professional judgment and the pattern of past papers; the Commission's actual expectations may vary.

All material on this website and in our products — including the textbook, solved PYQs, test papers, evaluation frameworks, and performance reports — is the intellectual property of Keola Pvt Limited, protected under the Copyright Act, 1957 and international copyright law. "Keola Sociology"™ is a trademark of Keola Pvt Limited (registration applied for).
You may not reproduce, distribute, upload, share, resell, or publicly post any paid material, in whole or in part, in any medium — including Telegram channels, file-sharing services, or print. Purchase grants a personal-use licence only (see Terms of Service).
Unauthorized distribution is theft from a small, independent creator and directly funds the end of the updates you paid for. We actively monitor for infringement and will pursue takedowns and legal remedies, including damages, against violators.
